Itinerary for the District Marching Contest
Saturday, Oct. 2th. 2019
9:45 a.m. - Everyone will meet at the stadium. Make sure that you include your walking time from the band.
We need everyone, please do not be late.
10:00 a.m. - 12 Noon Rehearsal in the stadium.
Noon - 2:30 p.m. Snack, Pack and Load All Chaperones should be at the stadium.
We will travel over in khaki shorts, band t-shirts, black socks, and band shoes. You will need long, plain black socks to wear in uniform, but short black socks are permissible while wearing shorts.
10:30 p.m. - 10:45 p.m. Final equipment checks and load the buses.
10:45 p.m. - 12:15 p.m. Travel to Tate H.S.
12:15 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. Potty Break as soon as we get there.
12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Unload and ready for warm-up.
1:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Transition to Warm-Up area "B"
1:45 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. Warm-Up area "B"
2:15 p.m. - 2:25 p.m. Travel to the Gate - There will be water stations along the way.
2:30 p.m. - 2:50 p.m. Perform
2:50 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. Reload equipment and buses.
3:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Travel back to NHS
A message will be sent out via the band app and Remind when we turn onto HWY 87. Please sign-up for one of the parent Remind groups if you have not already done so. Students are released when all equipment is put away and the buses are cleaned.
Lastly, if you plan to take your student from the site, you will need to turn in a note before we leave. You will also need to meet your student at the buses following the performance and check them out with the chaperone assigned to their bus.
Ticket prices for those parents attending as a spectator and not a chaperone are $6 for general admission, and $7 for reserved.
