Nov. 9th. Santa Rosa County Honor Band Auditions
Honor Band tryouts will be held Thursday afternoon, Nov. 9th. at Milton H.S.
Participation this year is voluntary.
The tryouts will count as the fall semester exam for all instrumentalist. We also use it to set the initial chair placements within our
ensembles. Priority goes to students who attend the auditions. Students who do not audition are still responsible for the materials for their semester exam and will audition in the band room.
Audition materials were passed out in class on October 1st. If you need a copy, please ask your section leader.
We will travel to Milton after school, busses will be provided. Students will perform during our time blocks. There is no set schedule, simply a blocked out time. That being said, students should go through the process as quickly as possible. That means that if you a student drives up on their own, they can simply go audition. They do not have to play during our scheduled block. Judges do not care who is playing, they only want the room to move quickly and to not have lapses in students playing.
Following the audition, we will have dinner together at a Saucey's (formerly the Tastee Freeze). Student's should be prepared to buy their meal.

Students are also allowed to drive themselves or carpool with their parent’s written permission.
If everything stays on schedule, we should be home around 9:30pm.

French Horns 5:30 - 5:45

Again, all times are suggestions. You may play earlier that our block time, please do not show up later.
4:00pm - 4:45pm Travel to Milton H.S.
4:45pm - 5:00pm Unload and Warm-up
5:30pm - 8:00pm Tryouts
8:00pm - 9:30pm Dinner and Return to NHS
