Hello and Welcome!
We are so happy you've decided to join the Navarre Raider Band and are looking forward to the next four years we hope to have with you. As an introduction into our program, here is a breakdown of how the Band is run throughout the year:
The Raider Band program consists of two seasons: marching band during the fall semester, and concert band during the spring semester.
Marching band: This program consists of wind, percussion, and color guard. The marching band meets after school during the fall semester for practices Mon, Tues, Thurs., and a football game on Fridays
Concert band: During this season students play in different groups: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Steel Drums. Students audition for concert band placement in November. Although concert performances take place primarily in the spring, they will meet everyday in class during their designated class period.
Extra rehearsals may be called at any time in either season. For example, each ensemble may have a weekly sectional rehearsal during the concert season. Flexibility regarding scheduling is of the utmost importance. Your support and understanding regarding this matter are much appreciated and are necessary for the continued success of the program.
