The Annual Band Car Wash-a-thon is almost here!
Students - print the above car wash pledge form and start getting sponsors!  
Remind the sponsors that the car wash is FREE for them! 

All students are expected to participate in the pledge portion of the event as well as the actual car wash-a-thon. 
To fund raise, students get sponsors who pledge 1, 5, 10, 25 cents per car washed.  After the event ends, the student goes back to the sponsor and collects the money based on the TOTAL cars washed by the whole band.  Usually we wash around 150-200 cars.  Any money donated during the car wash itself, goes in the general band account. 
Students are assigned shift and location by band sections (see below).  6 parent chaperones are needed for each shift and location.  Click the Chaperone button to be taken to Charms to sign-up.  (You must sign into your student's charms account.)

Hey Everyone!

I received a message this morning that there will be no water at the school on Monday due to construction. That means no restrooms, ice or water. Therefore, we will not have Rookie Camp on Monday.

We will have Rookie Camp on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8am-3:30pm.

Please help spread this info.

Band Fair Share installment #1 of $50.00 is due June 15th.

As you know, putting a marching band together is expensive and our fair share program insures that we have enough money to do all of the exciting things that our students enjoy. The total cost of the program is divided up among the total number of students in the band. Each year we try to provide plenty of opportunities to raise your fair share without ever having to pay out of pocket. We are currently building a list of fundraising opportunities for the 2016-17 school year. 

Checks and Money Orders should be made payable to the NHS Band.

As you know, we are very serious about attendance for everything we do. We are a performance group and we always need everyone at every event. That being said, we also know that summer can be crazy and people have to travel.

In order to help you communicate with us better, we have developed a paperless version of our required Absence Request form. There are several buttons located on this website that will take you to the online form that can be completed and submitted.

SUMMER BAND HAS BEGUN!!!

Hey Everyone,

This is a reminder that we are in full swing planning the show and getting ready to have a great marching season. We hope you are enjoying the summer but are keeping in mind that we do have summer rehearsals. It is important that you keep playing your horn, building your drum chops and spinning your flags in your spare time.

Please make sure that you keep on this website and the calendar. 

Remember, rookie camp is June 13th. - 16th. from 8:00am - 3:30pm. Rookie Camp is for anyone who is a new member to our group, no matter what grade you are in.
  • Students should wear t-shirts, shorts and comfy, laceable tennis shoes.
  • Bring a sack lunch.
  • Bring a personal water jug. They are available at Walmart for about $6. We have plenty of ice and water each day. 
  • A hat that covers your face and ears.
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Your instrument
  • A black three ring binder with sheet protectors.
  • A pencil

Make sure  you call your friends and remind them!
