Congratulations to Senior Alto Sax Player, Victoria Grant, on being selected for the 2017 Joyce Loved Music Scholarship in memory of Joyce Jones.
This year's award is $3,000.00
Victoria was chosen based on her application given to the scholarship committee. Below is an excerpt of her required letter:
"...However, I have always endeavored to supplement academics with various extracurricular activities that have broadened both my life and high school experiences. I have dedicated many hours to practice and performances as part of the Navarre Raider Band. For the past four years I have dedicated many afternoons to late night practices, Friday evenings to football game performances, and whole Saturdays to stimulating competitions. Every wonderful moment has been filled with focused determination, team work and the excitement that comes from honing an appreciation for music and proudly representing Raider traditions."
Congratulations again, Victoria. I know that any money you receive towards your education is a very smart investment. I can't wait to see what your future holds!
