WHO? Attending the Annual Car Wash on August 1st. is REQUIRED by all Raider Band Members. Please note, each student should bring sun block, water to drink, and either A TOWEL, DISH SOAP, OR A SPONGE! WHAT? Annual Raider Band Car-Wash-A-Thon. This Car Wash will raise money in 2 ways: First, each student should download the pledge form and go get people to sponsor them for 5/10/25 cents per car washed that day. If 200 cars are washed, and the student had $1.00 per car in total pledges then he/she will go back and collect $200 which will go toward that student's band fair-share fees. 100% of the student's pledges goes towards their individual Band Fair Share Fees. In the past, several students have raised their entire Band Share Fee during this single event. Secondly, cars coming to the Car-Wash-A-Thon, are asked for donations. The money collected goes into the band uniform fund, not toward individual accounts. All band members should plan on working at the car wash whether they have pledges or not. A student who does not get pledges will receive no credit for the day. That's why it is important to get pledges. WHERE? This year, we will be washing at two Navarre Locations: Centennial Bank (across from Navarre Park on the north side of 98) Professional Collision (across from Ace Hardware on the south side of 98) Parent volunteers are also needed and can sign up in Charms - at least 5 volunteers are needed at each location. This is a qualifying fundraising activity that counts towards the Band Fair Share credit. Volunteers will need to remember to sign in to get credit for lowering band fees. At this time, we are asking PARENTS who are interested in watching and helping the kids to please contact Karen Naselius. | The following are the location and times assignments: Please make sure you are on time and report to the correct location. Splitting the band this way makes sure that we have plenty of people at both locations at all times.
